Beaches of Bocas del Toro

Isla Colon

Isla Bastimentos

Isla Bastimentos

  • Besides the small secluded beach just a 2 minute walk from the house and Paunch Beach which is about a 4 minute walk from the casita, Isla Colon has lots of great beaches!
  • Bluff Beach
  • Starfish Beach
  • Boca del Drago Beach

Isla Bastimentos

Isla Bastimentos

Isla Bastimentos

  • The most famous and stunning beach in Bocas is Reg Frog Beach. Soft white sand, swimmable waters, great restaurants and bars make a great day at the beach.
  • Polo Beach
  • Old Point (Punta Vieja)
  • Wizard Beach
  • Long Beach

Zapitillas

Isla Bastimentos

Zapitillas

It's a beautiful boat ride out to the protected islands of Zapitilla. They are in the Bastimentos National Marine Park so there is no development on these two pristine islands. It is the most popular day trip and has great snorkeling when the sea is calm. You can also hike the beautiful trails and enjoy the white sand beaches. It's like visiting a postcard.

Isla Solarte

Isla Carenaro

Isla Carenaro

The main draw of Isla Solarte is the raw jungle trails and snorkeling. Hospital Point is a small beach but it has an amazing calm bay for snorkling, swimming and paddleboarding. The Blue Coconut on Isla Solarte doesn't have a beach but there is amazing snorkling right off the restaurant dock.

Isla Carenaro

Isla Carenaro

Isla Carenaro

  •  Isla Carenaro has a few Playitas (small beaches) which are not the best beaches in the islands but great for a quick swim and some lunch. Bring your bug repellant oils!
  • Bibi's Beach
  • Dona Mara Beach
  • Carenaro Beach
